Sometimes the CDS delivers a cat at the most inopportune of times, but that does not mean they are not yours to make your own. It simply means you might need to try a little harder for a while until things settle down.

Reddit's r/Kitten subreddit is of course a place to discuss all things tiny cats, but the story that we have brought you from there today is not solely about the cuteness, playfulness or sweetness of a smol kitten as many of the other posts are, but about the rescue of a tiny feline who needed a hooman's help who could not quite make ends meet. Now, you might be thinking, such a financial strain would deter someone from taking the plunge and helping a cute catto. But this pawrent did not hesitate for a moment, knowing that the Cat Distribution System is on their side, and there is no arguing with the CDS.

So after waiting days to make sure that the kitten's momma was not looking for her lost baby, he somewhat reluctantly accepted the responsibility of caring for this kitten. Sure, it was not the rescuer's first choice, but even they knew what a proper meal and a warm place to sleep can do for a person or cat and happily accepted the hooman's invitation. And while it meant that this hooman spent a month eating ramen it was totally worth it to gain the love of a cute cat child.

  • Well, this is certainly an interesting one. On the one hand it is very clear that this cat loving hooman did not want to get themselves wrapped up in the world of caring for a kitten they just found. Which is fair enough considering the cost and craziness of doing so. And at the same time it is also clear that momma ain’t coming back for the kitten she left behind. But what is clearest of all is that the CDS desperately wanted these two to meet and fall in love, otherwise this kitten would have cleared out hours into being left in this person’s yard.

  • See, this is the kind of dedication that it takes to save a cat. You have to sacrifice, make do and figure out finances along the way. But the main point being that you keep your attention on the awwdorable kitty at the centre of all this. So long as that is where your attention is directed we have little doubt that you will succeed in competently caring for your kitten. Much like this pawrent managed to on a shoestring budget.
